The fantastically inspiring Collage Club has adapted to the difficult times we are in by offering online workshops and ‘Paper Packs’ to do at home – just click through to their website above.
The club encourages the hands-on technique of using scissors as a creative tool. Making a collage is a process of story-telling which involves putting together images cut from newspapers and magazines together with pieces of painted paper and fabric. The club thinks of the practice as a means of “freeing” the artist from traditional techniques – away from the sometimes long process of learning how to draw or master a painting technique. Its sessions enable us to produce instant visual stories…and also offer “speed-collaging” and collaborative image-making.
Their motto: “Rip, snip, glue and stick into something brand new”!
