Creativity for Little Ones
Giving children enough space and time to experience and explore art helps and encourages them to develop curiosity and creativity. Creative experiences build powerful connections within the brain, and creativity is associated with focus, independence and a willingness to explore.
LoLA’s Art Cards give younger children lots of freedom to explore the creative process. The projects still work around a useful structure, but with the added bonus of being open-ended so that you can be flexible and work around the individual needs of your child, as well as the art materials you have readily available at home!
The Art Cards are also easy for parents and carers to use, and are a useful tool when working with siblings of different ages – we want the LoLA art experience to be for the whole family!
The term ‘Little Ones’ allows for a range of interests and abilities. However for a general outline, we recommend these projects for children between the ages of 3-6.
